Attended FRCOG meeting on fuel bids. Suppliers are willing to reduce contract price by 30 cents on fuel oil and 50 cents on diesel. We could get out of fuel bid by paying 60 cents per gallon awarded. Then we would be "playing the market". Attended USDA workshop on Broadband loans and grants. MA communities will not be competitive for grants given high income despite change in past year from comparison to State and not national household mean income.
